A 5 Days workshop with the fun amazing bollywood dancer and instructor Mariam Khan.

Mariam Khan, an Indian dance instructor and Bollywood film expert, will hold a Bollywood Dance and Film Workshop. The idea behind the workshops is to communicate the energy and fun that imbibes Indian cinema and in turn Indian culture. We will choose from one of the following themes: Weddings, Festivals, Romance and Item songs and learn about these themes in Bollywood. Participants will learn the remarkable techniques of theme-based Bollywood Dance Style. There is no age limit or any experience with Bollywood needed. Just an intention to fun! 

The workshop promises to be a fun way to learn about one of the biggest film industries and culture in the world, about how it has emerged over time and how it is increasingly being influenced by other cultures and yet so Indian. Participants will learn a dance sequence to compliment the chosen theme. 

Mariam Khan - trained in Bollywood dance and Bharatnatyam - has been teaching choreography for adults and kids in India and Egypt. She grew up on Bollywood movies in Pune, India and has a particular interest in filmmaking and storytelling in Bollywood. She is also a henna (known in India as Mehendi) artist and has done bridals and casual henna designs. She presently lives in Cairo, and shares her culture via Bollywood dance classes, Indian henna and art
