Christian Eckmann is a conservator, specialized on archaeological glass and metal objects at the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum, Mainz/Germany. He has worked on restauration projects all over the world, e.g. the conservation and technological examination of the two copper statues of King Pepi I. and the gold headed hawk (Hierakonpolis) at the National Museum in Cairo/Egypt. Since 2013 he is engaged in the joint-project: "The gold-sheet appliqués from the tomb of Tutankhamen".
