About the film
Filmed in the Abidjan neighbourhood of Wassakara, only a few months before the Ivorian civil war broke out, this compelling crime drama brims with the fervour of a generation determined to shape its own destiny and to reflect its present in its own distinctive language, music and dance.

About Souleymane Bamba aka Lonesome Solo

Burn It Up Djassa is his first feature film for theatrical release.
