The recent upheavals, including both the economic crisis and the Arab revolutions, contribute to making the current situation in the Mediterranean region more complex than ever. It is for this reason that cultural professionals have decided to initiate a collaborative think tank with a group of social scientists. The aim is to achieve a better understanding of these changing societies and to consider the impact of these mutations on artistic practices and cultural work.
Two days of closed-door meetings will take place during D-CAF as the second step of an itinerant think tank that will continue onto Tunis, Casablance, Marseilla and elsewhere during 2013. These professional meetings will culminate with a public debate.
