Interior design involves a multitude of technical, analytical, creative skills, and understandings of architectural elements. The professional interior designer achieves this by understanding their clients needs, seeking appropriate solutions, respect their clients social, physical and psychological needs and applying them in a safe and ecologically sensitive manner that promotes the health, safety and welfare of the clients.

The course is about learning all the design concepts through a room that will be our project through out the course. It will be a start for you to develop and evolve in whichever creative path you will choose.

The course will consists the following points:
- Doing a plan and to scale drawings
- Setting a design concept
- Layout changes.
- Sketches and perspective
- Color Schemes
- Choosing the materials
- Electricity and technical issues, lighting, false ceiling…
- Choosing all design pieces and samples
- Choosing all fabrics
- Doing mood boards
- Project management
- Client satisfaction
- Recycled furniture

This course will require some work from each student to be done at home before each class.

Instructor profile:

Nadia Shoukry, bachelor of fine arts, major interior design, 1998, graduated from German school DEO, worked as an interior designer for several design offices, visual merchandiser for a major furniture retailer, and now owns an interior design and construction company
