The AUC Venture Lab's 6th Demo Day is taking place on Wednesday, May 11. The Demo Day event marks the graduation of the V-lab's incubated startups. Attendees listen to the startups' pitches, get to test their products and services and receive their Demo Day promotions.
The AUC Venture Lab is Egypt’s first university-based incubator and accelerator. The V-Lab enables startups to capitalize on AUC’s intellectual capital, world-class facilities and research capacities. It connects innovative startups with AUC’s network that includes alumni, faculty, mentors and investors. Through this, it fosters a thriving ecosystem of innovation, education and responsible business.
The mission of the AUC Venture Lab is to commercialize technologies and innovations developed by startups that are based in Egypt. It was launched in June 2013 as a way to directly impact young businesses in the surrounding community.
The AUC Venture Lab acceleration program runs in two cycles per year where each cycle includes around ten startups. The V-Lab provides these startups with an intensive acceleration experience for three months, followed by a longer incubation cycle of a year.
