We seek to examine the urban management of public markets in Cairo, their effects on city neighborhoods, how street vendors use public space for their livelihood, and to creatively seek participatory solutions to common problems these informally managed markets contribute with in the community. The workshop is carried out in the Cairo metropolis, a nodal commercial center.
