SEMINAR: ‘TO DO OR NOT TO DO’ – A LECTURE ON THE PRACTICE & ETHICS OF ORGANISING & PRODUCING AN EVENT IN THE FIELD OF CONTEMPORARY ART IN WESTERN EUROPE (GERMANY/EGYPT)
‘To do or not to do’ – part of ‘Show me the World’ project – highlights the lack of intensive discussion on curatorial concepts in the performance arts. Hosting international seminars, the project invites renowned curators to prepare a lecture that describes and analyses their theatre landscape and the curatorial manner of approaches and methods in their respective regional context. The seminar will appeal to local curators, artist curators and programmers.
There will be 20-minute consultation sessions with five curators and programmers from Egypt.
Host: Anja Dirks
Guest Curator: Ahmed El Attar
Type: Seminar, followed by consultation sessions
