Part I: WHAT IS A FILM LAB? A CASE STUDY OF THE TORINO FILM LAB (Torino Film Lab guest)
Starting with a description of Torino Film Lab and Venice Biennale College-Cinema, the lecture emphasises the value of these initiatives beyond professional training, as they offer a way into a community of international filmmakers and professionals.

Part II: STORY EDITING: WHAT DOES IT MEAN? The experience of story editing
This part will mainly discuss the collaborative experience between Desplechin and El-Hor during the scriptwriting of the film ‘Yalla Bye’. Three Egyptian professionals who attended Socrate workshop 2014 on story editing, will follow.
