The tomb of the famous Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamun, is known throughout the world for the diversity and wealth of objects recorded there by the archaeologist Howard Carter and his team. Yet since the tomb's discovery in the 1922 suprisingly little attention has been paid to the textiles and clothing found in the tomb. Yet these items present a vivid picture of the young Tutankhamun and his various roles as pharaoh. The presentation will concentrate on the main types of garments found in Tutankhamun's tomb and how they were worn.
