Description
Studying history of the Egyptian pioneer architects is a vital part that completes the history of Egyptian architecture, provides an integrated shot of our national identity and preserves our architectural identity by supporting the continuity between different architectural generation and our pioneers. This book overviews the Egyptian architecture during three decades; starting the 1919 independence and ending by the 1952 revolution with special focus on the works of Antoine Selim Nahas and Aly Labib Gabr. It is a deep study about the impact of the political, economical, socio-cultural aspects on the local Egyptian ideology and the architecture of that era.
