Our team is excited to invite you to Cimatheque's Summer Program, which will start on Sunday, July 16th. The films featured this time will focus on the best of independent cinema in the past few years, both in the region and beyond.

The program will kick-off with a screening of the truly original film, The Night and The Kid (2015), a co-production between Qatar and France exploring the lingering ramifications of war in the Atlas Steppe highlands. Also to be screened this summer is independent filmmaking pioneer Kelly Richard's latest offering, Certain Women (2016), the stunning Mexican film, Tempestad (2016), the notable documentary I am Not Your Negro (2016), and Roy Andersson's A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence (2014).

We are also very happy to announce that we will be hosting a double-feature of cult animation works, including Perfect Blue (1997) and Jan Svanmaker's incredibly subversive take on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, the film Alice (1988).

Full schedule can be found below.

So escape the heat and come join us in Cimatheque for a few film screenings! Films are shown on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays at 7PM (but be sure to check our schedule for more detailed information).
