Collage is an art established first by the Cubists, then the Surrealists, right through to Pop Art and contemporary practitioners. It is an ideal choice for people wanting to explore, activate and express their creative mind. It is a great medium for people who are searching for an alternative to painting, as well as for people with or without an art background.

In this workshop, you will learn the history of Collage, how to choose your materials from your immediate surroundings, learn composition, develop concepts, or simply follow your imagination and intuition.

The workshop is for you to discover or re-discover your creative abilities in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere.

Course Program:

1st Session
History of collage.
Examples of collage.
Look a composition, materials.
Ways of working with collage

2nd Session
Collage as decorative mean for objects.
Plates, table, boxes etc…..

3rd Session
Collage in the cubist manner
Attention will be given to composition, using abstract shapes and colors only.

4th Session
Collage as photomontage. (using photos only)
Inspired by the Surrealist and Pop Art

5th and 6th Sessions
Self-expression using any material, concept, intuition.
The student will realize two collages that are intensely personal, using the knowledge acquired in the previous exercises
