Through this course, the novice gets acquainted with technical fundamentals and creative applications of digital photography. The classes cover the main topics of digital SLR photography. Understanding your camera and the equipment, exposure, shutter speed and aperture, automatic and manual control, light sources, flash, depth of field, principles of composition and the basic techniques of editing using Photoshop. Through regular assignments and feedback sessions, participants get hands-on experience in applying skills and techniques. The course includes two field trips with the instructor.

Egyptian photographer Adel Wassily’s work and the value of freedom:
In Wassily’s photographic work, key questions are addressed in order to allude to motifs and metaphors which emphasize universal human values. The artist’s aims to dig deep into the details of the everyday, and to reconstruct them in a way which reveals certain values: freedom, dignity, justice. His photographs shows the life with its colors and light, we see ourselves and the”other”. There is a sense of harmony created through the photographs; there is also a sense of renewal and rejuvenation of the “familiar”. Wassily’s exhibitions point to a new approach in photography. His artistic journey has started many years ago, and his work continues to acquire maturity over the years. He is a free and independent artist, and it is the value of freedom which permeates his photographs

Payment policy:
Course fees will be divided into 2 installments, 50 % to be paid upon filling in the application form (at CIC), and the remaining installment could be placed any time before the end of the course.
