On Tuesday, October 29th, Distinguished Visiting Professor Saree Makdisi, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles, will be giving the Edward Said Memorial Lecture entitled "Occidentalism: Making England Western".
The event is co-sponsored by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research and will take place at the Oriental Hall of the Tahrir Campus Square of the American University in Cairo.
