Ali Jabri and Mounir Canaan

drawings by Ali Jabri (1942-2002). One is a large, noisy, geometrical collage by Mounir Canaan (1919-1999). The two artists’ work share a formal elegance, a sense of curiosity, and a practiced manual dexterity. Nile Sunset Annex would like to thank Mamdouh Bisharat, Noura Al Khasawneh and Fatenn Mostafa for making the exhibition possibleعلي چابري ومنير كنعان

A history of two Feldmanns/ One the original/ Two a copy/ Both equally heavy

Nile Sunset Annex has made an identical replica of Hans-Peter Feldmann's Hat with Photograph (no date, no edition), complete with pedestal and glass box, to be shown alongside the real Feldmann, which Nile Sunset Annex has taken on loan from Beirut. Nile Sunset Annex will give a small visual presentation about doubles and fakes. This challenge fits with Nile Sunset Annex's general interest in making and in copies, and it suits Feldmann (b. 1941), with his unlimited editions and no-signature policy and his little repetitious photo books

Publication #14: The 3D-printed sculpture

To accompany his recent solo show with Nile Sunset Annex, Mohaned Nur has created a tiny, delicate, futuristic sculpture. It is a limited edition of 9 + artist’s print, and will be for sale for 300 EGP each

Ali Jabri and Mounir Canaan is open Saturdays 12-6 or by appointment until January 10
