Omar is used to putting his life on the line by climbing over the separation wall between the West Bank and the Palestinian neighborhoods in Israel to see the love of his life, Nadia. On one side of the wall he is a sensitive young baker, on the other he’s a freedom fighter who is confronted with harsh and life-determining choices. In occupied Palestine nothing is what is seems.

This is not just another film about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Rather it is, in

the words of one reviewer, a "multi-layered, touching and wonderfully complex film" made

by a director who already proved with ‘Paradise Now’ how great a storyteller he is. ‘Omar’ has won numerous awards at filmfestivals all over the world and was nominated for the Oscars in the category ‘Best Foreign Film’.
