An original experiment and artistic project, ‘The Library’ invites visitors to choose “books,” personified by people, who tell their individual stories once selected. Illuminating each individual’s unique role in an increasingly computerised and detached society, ‘The Library’ is a compelling reminder of the power of storytelling, a practice as ephemeral as it is enduring.

FANNY DE CHAILLÉ
Fanny de Chaillé studied Aesthetics at the Sorbonne. As a performer, she appeared in the film ‘Anéantis’ and the plays ‘Guillaume Tell’, ‘Philoctète’, and ‘Lorenzaccio’. Since 1998, Chaillé has created installations, performances, and choreographic works including ‘Le Karaokurt’, ‘Le Robert’, ‘Underwater’, and ‘Ta ta ta’. She produced ‘La Bibliothèque’ and ‘Je suis un metteur en scène japonais’ at the Théâtre de la Cité internationale, where she has been an artist in residency for three years.
